"I recently had to make a claim for escape of water through my insurance company. They instructed their approved contractor to attend site and it was a disaster from the start, they completed minimal work, used what looked like inadequate equipment and the member of staff that attended complained he should not be there. After I raised my concerns to the loss adjuster dealing with my claim, they pulled the appointed contractor off and appointed another company that my adjuster advised would sort out the water damage at my property. RE Spencer were appointed, and the same day, within minimal time Amy from RE Spencer's claims team called me and explained she was my designated claims handler and would be my contact through the process. An appointment was booked for the stabilisation team to attend my property the following day. I explained the situation to Amy and stressed (to the point of being annoying), that I really needed the team to bring the necessary equipment with them. Amy was empathetic and assured me that she had filled the information document out herself and been explicit about dryers and extension cables. As planned, the next day at the agreed time, Shaun and Joel attended — and what a difference. They were excellent: efficient, knowledgeable, patient, straight-talking, professional, practical and most importantly, genuinely focused on solving the problem. They assessed the situation properly, explained what they were doing, and produced a clear action plan. They were professional to a tee while still having a human side, which could empathise with clients in distress. The equipment RE Spencer had with them also appeared (from my perspective), to be far more advanced and professional than the equipment the previous contractor had brought with them. In contrast, the equipment RE Spencer brought felt much more substantial and purpose-built for the job, which immediately gave me greater confidence that the situation was being assessed and managed properly. While at my property, Shaun also called Amy to arrange an electrician to attend the next day and a further appointment for a return visit to continue with the drying works, carry out a further detailed assessment and if necessary, strip out any other materials that were restricting the drying. What particularly impressed me was that Shaun did not simply finish the job and leave. He stayed until he had clearly explained the next steps, gave me a proper induction on the drying equipment, and explained exactly what I needed to do, and made sure the follow-up appointments were arranged before he left. Shaun and Joel completed ALL of this work in record timing, I am incredibly impressed at the level of organisation, communication and reassurance from RE Spencer and it’s made a huge difference after a very stressful experience with the previous contractor. I am extremely grateful to all the staff involved at R E Spencer."

I just wanted to take some time to say thank you to the ladies that came into our home this week including Gillian and Michelle. They were extremely professional, worked really hard and were empathetic and kind in relation to our "never having to leave our lovely home " due to a subsidence issue. This has been a stressful time for us and their manner, and support was very much appreciated. They also worked really hard and took great care in packing our stuff all in a lovely jovial manner. The follow up lads Cal and Callum, came for the larger furniture and were equally as hard working, polite and friendly. All were smart in uniform and arrived promptly. Please pass on these compliments to your staff, they are a credit to your organisation and just generally nice people. I would welcome the same team back when hopefully our works will be completed and will have no hesitation in recommending your company in future.

I think R.E. Spencer Ltd is very good because from first point of contact by phone when introduced to a dedicated claim handler, to in person meeting the technicians and staff that attended our property, their good manners, professionalism, punctuality and thoughtfulness are second to none. An absolutely outstanding company.
